HELP!!!! Return pump
« on: March 17, 2018, 08:55:10 »
Woke up this morning and my return pump sounded like a cement mixer.  Pulled out the shaft and the plastic magnet case was gone the iron was rusting.   Does any body in the dayton area have a pump they would like to sell?

I run three of them and have not had any issues so far. I have 2 older style DC pumps from them and 2 newer pumps - I have run there line of powerheads as well for numerous years with little issues. Sad part is if you dig deep enough you will find someone to take the "A side" of the coin and someone to take the "B side" of the coin on any piece of equipment that we use in this hobby. This series of pumps fall on the Cheaper end of the dollar scale but man they move some water, really quite, I just keep the impellor area clean and move on. On one set of these pumps I  have 9ft of head pressure with great return. As you can read I am on the "A side" of the coin, Not a bad pump for the money!!!   :police:

I have 2 of these. Been great so far.

I did have one fail couple years ago but it had run dry due to an ATO failure.

I have the DCP-8000 that I use as a feed pump for 5 ten gallon tanks... With the flow turned up all the way, the flow is pretty weak for my application, but I haven't had any issues in the last 3 years.
