@slandis3 - Yes, I can stop by and get it to start rinsing it.

@Boonjob - That is great, let me know how when we can get the items

@Hunger - Thanks, we can use everything, but the heater might need to see if we can acquire a controller from somewhere

Todd I will see if I can locate a Level Loc Auto Top off. This way we don't require an Auto Top Container or have to worry about ever running out of water. The company that makes them is restructuring so they aren't available new any longer but I will see if we can locate one with a post on Reef Central. If not maybe we can make one. I have used these for a couple years now and love them.

Put me down for the hydrometer and sand if we need anymore

Could we do without dosing pumps, calcium reactor and fridge. keep it low maintenance?

For lighting can we do something that mounts to the tank like a LED - viper style.

Grrrrrrr website just ate my original posting.....

OK real short this time.

Tank is set and up and running with all of my 37 gallon stock of live rock, a few shrooms, yellow polyps, toadstool.  No fish, no hermits, no snails. The kids want 'NEMOs".

Please suggest hardy livestock we have $150 at Gerbers, Aquatic Specialist will donate corals, Coral Ranch donating corals and 'items'.  For fish suggest hardy, flashy, out in front, low food consumers, that can be left alone for at least 3 days.

Please review the below list of items still needed.  No fuge yet, tank has hang on skimmer, Rena heater, 305 Fluval, 1400 Koralia, 1200 Maxi, 36" PC light, 2 power strips, 1 electronic timer.

I really need some salt as I am using mine right now.....

If you want to see the tank please contact me with a date and time and I will arrange it.

Brian and Mike, I would like to meet with you to discuss maintenance as we are the closest, anyone else close to Bethel is also more than welcome.

I wanted to get the tank set, used my rock, some seed sand from 37 with Mikes sand, 1/2 my old water.  Hopefully if there is a cycle it will be small.  Most likely we will get a cleanup crew from Gerbers, or beg some from Aquatic Spec, or Coral Ranch.

Any input/suggestions are much appreciated.  If we don't get a sump donated, I will build a 20 this weekend, I have the dividers already cut, just need to assemble.  If you have a relationship with an owner of a LFS please coordinate with them and keep me in the loop.

That GC I have for Coral ranch will get you your clean up crew. Though I would really test the water a couple times, before adding them.

I will drop it all off tonight as I am heading back up your way again.

The tank will be sitting to bed down over Labor day weekend.  I will test following weekend.

I am also not opposed on going in on a bucket of salt with someone (30 bucks) or if you can get a vendor/donor to sell you one for that price.

I would see about maybe adding an auto feeder for the weekends. just to keep em healthy and stress free.

I know a couple of the big "chain" pet stores in the area sell the eheim, that everyone likes... we may want to send them a shout and see if they would like to donate one for the school. they are a pretty low ticket item.(20-30bucks)

Would the teacher/school be willing to submit a letter aswell, I can forge something up aswell and see what I can do. I think it would help tremendously if we had as much info on it as possible and a letter on a letterhead from the school would be nice.

Additional sponsor contact made.

I just got off the phone with Leroy at http://garf.org/index.shtml.  Our timing couldn't be better, they are starting a project called the 100 tank project.  We would be tank #2 on the list.  He stated that for the cost of shipping around 19.00 he can send us a whole load of grunge and critters for the tank to start.  He has requested pictures of the kids working on the tank, a pic of the front of the school and a pic of the room.  He said then there will be a place on their website for our tank which is #99, (don't know why they are counting backwards).
I will work with Mrs. Mosley to get the pics.
