120RR set up
« on: July 30, 2016, 09:38:14 »
Upgraded from my 90g to this 120 back in April. I've always wanted one and when one popped up for sale I purchased it. I love the footprint 4x2x2. Equipment is as follows:

120RR tank with dual overflows

mag 9.5 return pump

dual 250w heaters

Dual jebao rw 8's

SWC cone 160 skimmer

BRS dual reactor (carbon/phosphate)

jbj ato

Reef breeders photon 48" LED light

this tank is mostly LPS, zoas I also added a middle island for anemones. I have a couple RBTA  and some rock flower anemones.  Of course several Brian corals, toadstools, zoas. As far as livestock I have a yellow tang, Kole tang, pair of breeding clowns who lay eggs about every 2 weeks and a pj cardinal and a green clown goby. I also have a big brittle star and a nice sized sperpant star.  And last but not least I have a blood shrimp and a peppermint shrimp.  I also have a decent sized maxima clam who is growing nicely. Everything seems to live the 4' LED light.

i still haven't got the handle on taking good pics with the LED lights yet. Everything looks washed out on camera.

Nice job Mussin. Love the rock work. What is the white and green container in your sump? I wanted to keep some anemones without having them move around and sting everything, I separated some rock on the left side of my tank, so far so good.

It's used to clean baby bottle nipples in the dish washer. Got it at meijer.

Thanks

To keep the cheato contained. So it doesn't do through the pump and in the display. I hate seeing cheato "pubes" floating around in my display, lol

Me too! That is why I quit growing it. Does your contraption work? Seems like it would block a lot of light.

It doesn't grow very fast but it does grow and stays put.  Ive never been able to grow massive amounts of cheato.

Picked up a nice little flame angel from Changing tide, love these fish, just hope he doesn't develop a taste for coral.

Nice stuff Jeremy. See you tomorrow and we'll add some more eye candy to the collection. I really like the yellow rock flower nem in the middle. BTA's are awesome as well.

Well, you have a orange lobo with green center, I have a green lobo with orange center. I think somewhere down the line a trade is in order. Tank looks great Jeremy.
