Live Rock or coral are your most likely suspects.  There is nothing bad about them, they will eat leftover food from overfeeding and such things.

Their bristles can puncture your skin, yes. That's another reason dedicated gloves are useful.

There's no getting rid of them, and why would you want to- they're part of your clean-up crew.
