Foam or no foam?

Going to start an 11ft. Base/ cabinet for two tanks. Plywood top and wondered if foam is still the thing to do between the tank bottom and the plywood?

I chose to go with no foam for my latest tank stand.

It's been up and running since September 2016 with no issues

Depends on the tank.  Should be used for flat bottom acrylic builds.  Should not be used for floating bottom, trimmed, glass aquariums.
