Which Red Sea?  I use the Red Sea Pro kits, I would not use the plain Red Sea kits.

The Red Sea reef foundation pro kit is a good kit, does alk, ca and mg.  that should run about $45
Where did you find that at? Just wondering

I have found API for CA and ALK to be pretty dependable and accurate, cheaper also. Sailfert for Mag. I had an issue in the past but I wasn't testing much and the kit got old and was giving bad test results, have seen Sailfert kits do the same thing. I borrowed a Red Sea Pro Kit from a friend once, also accurate and fairly easy to use.
Don't salifert cost more? I have 3 kids witch one has special needs so money is tight. But the salt water gets my mind free and clear

If they are not "cheating" on their Nem and getting stung by some other coral in the tank; you might want to read up on black ich.

I'm not saying that is the problem, just a thought.

Yes, but API does not make a Mag test kit. The API are fine for Cal and Alk. You can order them online real cheap sometimes. Check Amazon, Big Al's.

Your fish appear to have marine velvet, as for treatment, I would get them into a hospital tank and treat with copper, maybe Brian can shed more light, as I know he has dealt with this before.

I have  an API alk kit if you want it, I won't ever use it again, now that I have a Hanna digital alk meter.

no offense a6walter1 but that doesn't look like velvet to me.

Anyone else want to chime in on this ?

Regardless, getting them into a QT tank is a solid idea. And keep an eye on your other fish.

None of my other fish have it. From what I've read it's either black ick or it is sting from the corals where the clowns are trying to host either my zoas or my mushrooms. But everybody that I have talked to thinks it's ick.

I agree black ick or they are being stung from trying to host. My clowns looked just like that when they first started hosting.

Fair enough, I have never dealt with a disease like this before, so I just did a quick google search and found some pictures that looked similar to his fish.

My clown looked like that when it started to host with a new anemone.  It eventually went away.  Hope that is the same for yours.
