Recharging DI Resin

Has any of you done this or heard of anyone trying this?
I run dual DI chambers due to intitial high TDS to start with and this would save me some change.

I've started saving up DI resin for it...planning to do it when I had enough DI resin to make it worthwhile.  But, I don't go through a ton...and buying the lye & other chemicals just isn't worth the money yet.
