Did anyone notice my clownfish spawning during the meeting?

That is what I am going to miss the most in my tank.....my spawning clownfish pair.  RIP little guys.......

I agree. The reef looks so much better in person (emphasis added). The reason why there are differences between the actual colors and the colors recorded in a picture is related to the light source illuminating the subject (in this case, my light source is metal halide lighting only for my reef aquarium). I think I need to adjust the white balance of my new camera for shooting pictures under indoor lighting conditions (to get more colorful reef pictures). The camera takes great underwater pictures under natural lighting (see Florida Key Reef pics) ...Still learning how to take better pictures under various types of indoor lighting.

No problem on the gift certificate. Glad you could make it to the meeting!

Tim,

Thx again for hosting, and thx so much for the frag and snails.  I did not know that I was entering a contest, but I'm happy to have won!  :)

For some, it was good to see you again and for others, it was nice to meet you and put names with faces.

Thanks for the very nice compliment, Mike! I attached a few updated pictures of my reef aquarium below to share with the members who were unable to attend the meeting last night.

[Let's try this again!!!]

Glad you could attend the meeting, Mitch! Hopefully you will be able to host a meeting sometime soon as well?

As always for only spending an hour a week on cleaning Tim has one of the nicest, cleanest tanks i have seen.

I think Joe asked the question at the meeting about how long I spend per week on cleaning the reef. Well, I started to time myself recently and I spend approximately two hours per week with the tank....includes cleaning the glass daily, feeding the fish, cleaning the filter sock (two to three times weekly), water changes, cleaning the skimmer collection cup and daily RO/DI top off.  Every three weeks, I clean the internal tunze and vortech pumps, which adds additional time to my cleaning schedule as well.

Ok, that's the "cleaning" part.  How much for everything else "tank" related?  Or put another way, how much time do you spend in the basement near your tank on a weekly basis?  ;D  ;)

I spend a lot more time viewing the reef than cleaning it  ;)
