Looking for a volunteer to Host a May 2018 Club Meeting? Any meeting suggestions or ideas or topics for discussion or guest speakers?
Thanks!

Has anybody toured Tidal Gardens in Copley OH? It’s a 3 hour drive but looks like an awesome facility based on their YouTube channel.

If I was still in Ohio I would vote for that trip!

That is a great idea! It is just south of Cleveland. I don't think they have completed their new facility. There is a virtual tour online. Maybe do a car pool. Mike, it would still be more than 3 hours, even if you flew.

I’d do this if I’m not busy

I will be there in spirit! Unless someone wants to face time it!

Any Volunteer to Host a May 2018 Club Meeting?
-
What's all needed to host a meeting? Location with a reef tank? Also what all takes place?
-
What's all needed to host a meeting?
The desire to host a meeting. Normally the host is a member and wants to socialize with other people and share their hobby experiences. If no one wants to host a meeting, we will select a place to meet, such as, Marion's Piazza, Don Pablos, etc.
Location with a reef tank?
No.
Also what all takes place?
Viewing the aquarium setup, discussion with other hobby enthusiast, snacks, and a drawing for a gift card or other hobby related item.

I'll host it this month. Could use some input on my set up and current issues anyway.

Great! I just need a date, time, and general location so I can start a signup sheet. (Some people prefer their address not be publicized. Please PM me the address so I can provide it to the attendees.)
Thank you!

Was great getting to meet you, and can't wait to see the monster tank once it's done!
Here are some of the productions I was talking about:
Nori fish feeder by Two Little Fishies:

Since you use frozen food exclusively, this may help too:

Thaws and broadcast feeds the tank, just stick it into top level flow
SCWD wavemaker (Squid), alternates water flow:

PolyFilter (bio and chemical filter):

There are a lot of other products that I would be more than happy to recommend, depending on what you need, just let the club know; and if I don't know it I am sure someone else on here does. ;D
Will see you around here!

Tyler,
Great get together! Thanks for welcoming us into your home. Thank Corin for letting us borrow you for the day. I agree with Jordan, that giant tank is going to be impressive! You do have a lot of tanks to play with.
Have a great weekend,
Gary

Wish I could have made it, thank you for hosting Tyler. Sounds like you’ve got something impressive in the works.

Tyler Dido, many thanks for hosting the event today! It is pretty impressive when you see 3 different size tanks with water in them up and functioning very well. Your current 265g build should be pretty exciting as it comes together!!! Good Luck and keep us posted on the progress.
