Title: What is this little thing?

Seems he came along with the rock I picked up.   Its a tiny little thing smaller than my pinky nail currently.   But noticed him and figured I should try and figure out what it is.   I'm sure its not what my brother said,  an alien from the the movies..   My best guess its a tiny little feather duster worm.

Looks more like a sponge to me.
