Title: Coral wars

Which coral do you think is going to win here, acro or monti? I’m afraid to move the acro frag because it’s epoxied strongly to the rock.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180531/8fa27fde782603060da8629db437bbf8.jpg)

I had a acro colony and spongodes colony that warred with each other. The acros sting was more potent, but the spongodes started growing up then over the acro, shading it out and ultimately winning the war.

I’m hoping the blue acro holds it’s ground. I can hear it chanting “this is Sparta!”

What technique do you recommend? It looks encrusted. I’m not too experienced with intentional fragging. Most of my fragging experience has been accidentally dropping the coral while cutting the plug.

if it is encrusted it will be difficult to remove, but you can always get a screwdriver and apply a little force, if it is branched or overhanging there you could just break it off.
