Coral color changes
« on: November 27, 2017, 00:07:37 »
It is cool to see how some corals change color from one persons tank to another’s or from ocean to captivity. Sometimes the change is better, worse or just different. Here is a tenuis I received 6 weeks ago that has color shifted quite a bit. 1st pic is how it came in and second is how it looks now.

What is the main contributor of such a drastic color change? ULNS, lighting, flow, etc.

I’m speculating that the “before” pic is from a ULNS?

Haha thanks. :)
Color seems to be based off of the form of food the coral is receiving in combination of light level.

great looking, i got some aqua cultured corals a while ago, and i have watched 3 different color phase changes in one coral that is solid green now, it showed orange, then purple, but currently solid green.
