2018 Meetings
« on: January 04, 2018, 13:31:26 »
I guess it's time to finally get the ball rolling. Would like to start hearing from people about meeting ideas. Do I have any volunteers to host? Especially these first few months. I know someone said at the December meeting that they may be able to do January's or February's but I don't recall who it was. We can also get together somewhere else if that's easier for these cold winter months. Any suggestions?

If my tank was setup, I would host in Hilton Head!

Give me another couple months.
It costs HOW much?!

I'd be on the road real quick Mike! Can't wait to see your new tank, your one up here was great looking.

That meeting a couple of years ago at aquarium artisans was pretty cool.  A lot of eye candy.  One of our sponsors might be willing to do one?

Another idea perhaps a meeting/swap with Indmas or Cora in the summer when there aren’t many swaps.

Perhaps if someone wants to do a restart on their tank that crashed we could have a meeting at their house to help?

Vote on tanks requiring a makeover:  win by submitting your ugly tank, club completes the makeover.

My favorite:  Grow out challenge with zoas, and winner gets Lazy’s Homewrecker.

Those are all good ideas. I was going to try to get a grow out competition going if there is enough interest.

Great ideas Jim. I have been watching for a unique zoa at my wholesaler since Justin mention grow out challenge last week. I will find one!

I’d be in too. How would you determine the grow out winner? Most heads?

I like your ideas Jim.  I'm always looking for a new zoa.  Maybe a little optimistic on the homewrecker prize.

I will host Jan 20th if that works for everyone. If someone else is itching to host, that would be fine as well.

I was mentioning sometime in first quarter, but better half said later in the year so we can get some work done to the house. Will let you know when I can arrange one.

12:00 or 1:00 start time is fine.  Whatever is better for everyone
