Dry fitting everything. I am liking this setup a lot. I was originally going to make it a frag tank, but now Iím second guessing that. I think Iím just gonna make it a QT/Frag/2nd display tank mostly housing my montis until Iím sure the Nudiís have been eradicated from the 75g DT. Going to get started on the plumbing tomorrow.

Thank you Rick. Leak tested it today and made some minor modifications after the wet run.

Are you going with the same substrate as your main tank?  I need to make a decision on substrate for my tank,  I really like what you have in your main tank.  I forgot what you told me it was.
thanks
jeff

Jeff, I debated on whether to go bare bottom or not. I decided to go ahead and get the same sand as the main tank. Carib Sea Special Grade. I elected to go with dry sand this time. I usually get the live sand but itís very messy.

Iíve used the Carib Sea special grade in both of my tanks.

Dry, rinsed. Works great!

Takes a bit of current to move it as well which I like.

Update on the new system. After the unlucky bout with Dinoís, the tank is progressing well. In fact, I was showing damage on a WWC Blueberry frag in the 75 so I dipped and moved it to this system on the 20th and the tissue damage is already healed. So, I moved the damaged colony to this tank last night. If it heals as well, then I know that the problem on the 75 is lights or some kind of infection. So this build will have served its purpose!

I also got the PM1 module for this system and hooked it up to the apex Along with pH & temp probes. Getting some funky high readings on the pH (8.38-8.5 daily). Iím gonna give it a week or so and re-calibrate.

All in all, I am loving the system and have already started fragging Xenia & a variety of Zoas from the 75.
