I bought and painted my tank last fall but didn’t have a stand for it. Life got busy, and I didn’t build one until almost a year later. I just finished it last week. Next up is sump design (20 gallon long) and plumbing.

Looks nice

Dry fitting plumbing today!

Love the stand good job

That looks very nice. Post some pics of the final product when it is finished.

This week I installed sump baffles, cemented the plumbing together, added foam strips under the tank, and siliconed the overflow box in place. We’re getting there!

You made some real progress over the last couple of weeks. Are you going to add fish or buy the bacteria in a bottle? This starts the waiting game! It is all about time. :-(

I have a couple of black mollies in there now. The sand was the caribsea live sand and and bought some live rock to speed things up. Already found one aiptasia, which I suppose is risk you take when you don't start with dead rock. I promptly eradicated him by injecting several syringes of boiling water into it.

A lot had happened since the last update. My. Tank has cycled and I’m consistently getting 0 ammonia, nitrite, and trace nitrate. I added a pair of clowns, and then a week later I added a starry blenny. I added Chaeto to the sump when I added the mollies, but I’ve since gotten a taotronics 36 watt grow light from amazon and the growth has exploded! The best part? I ordered a reefbreeders photon v2+ 24 inch LED fixture on Black Friday that was delivered today. I can’t wait to set it up.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181128/3b576f5fafcbb930a377335ed267141c.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181128/32be8d6b935a42d433a70fa76f9c8a0d.jpg)

I’ve been cycled for about a month. Now have a royal gramma, cleaner shrimp, and some LPS corals. Reef Breeders LEDs look amazing! Looks like your well on your way to a nice reef. Great job. You probrsnly already tried this but in case not thought I would mention to test unplugging return pump to see if the sump overflows in a power loss.
