ID an odd hitchhiker with a vauge description
« on: April 10, 2010, 01:09:54 »
I cannot get a picture because this little guy is too small. I saw him in my fuge about 3 weeks ago, forgot about it and lost track of where he was. Just yesterday, he was out in the open again. It is a reddish brown creature, with a body less than 1/8". It tends to hang from things such as cheato, and has several "tentacles", most of which are drawn up with some hanging down, and moving every once in a while. its whole body length with tentacles extended is less than 1/4"...

it is a neat creature, just wondering if anyone knows what it is, im looking to have a lot of biodiversity to my fuge, and im thinking about adding a 12"+ bristle worm from a tank which a scooter and a damsel mysteriously dissapeared...

It sounds a little bit like a cryptic nudibranch I once found eating my brown star polyps.  It looked just like a star polyp, too.

What do you call an old reefer with no tank?
