Looks awesome, Brian. Congratulations! I am excited about my Homewrecker frag too. The back story on that gem is that Nathan (Renton777) and Dan (PurpleReef) went in together on the purchase of the Homewrecker from Jason Fox on 4/19/16. Jason brought an amazing frag of the homewrecker to the 2016 Lear swap but it was not for sale....just to show it off. We all tried to get it from Jason then to no avail. ;)

Thanks for the additional back story.

No problem. Looking forward to following your homewrecker grow out thread (and Chris' too)!

It has been slow encrusting but getting some color now.
-
Very nice piece and picture Brian

This has been a super slow grower for me. Maybe because it was a fresh cut 1/2 nub when i got it? Hopefully it will take off soon. Here it is today 5 months in.

That's an awesome looking coral!

Looks awesome, Brian.

Looks like more growth than I would get from it in 5 months. Looks great!
-
I still say growing really well, just not in the direction we all thought. Last I saw it, it was encrusting the base more than growing up/outwards.
That aside it is still an extremely beautiful piece

Man that is one awesome looking piece!

The four white spots are where I took Frags from it a couple days ago. I probably should’ve took a picture before I cut the frags. One of the things I noticed, the older the branches the more intense the color is. Which is opposite to any other acros I have.
-
I don't usually care for sticks that much, but that one is HOT!
-
looks good lazy, that jf pic is a little touched up id say! holy saturation!
-
Haha yea it must be. Or he is taking pics under ultraviolet leds.
-
Here is mine so far, it has fully encrusted and starting to send out new branches from the base. Lucky enough to get this from lazy.

Getting some good growth. Looks like you need some nitrates in the system
-
Looks good Jeff. how much light is it getting
I've found the higher light the more growth I've seen
-
It is under about 550 par. I got it from Brian 2 months ago and it hasnt grown much on the main branch but has encrusted twice the original size on the frag plug and has started to send up new shoots. Looking forwards to when it looks like Brians. Right now it isnt showing alot of color being so small.

Nice.. takes a while to get settled.. mine took about 6 months before it took off
I have 2 frags one in high light and one in lower and the high light has almost doubled the amount of growth as the other. think its time to move the low light frag
