gyre 250 pump not running
« on: January 09, 2018, 18:54:53 »
Does anyone know if the gyre 250's controller is smart enough to turn the gyre pump off if there is a problem with the pump?

For some reason, the display on the controller keeps showing pump A OFF.  I have checked it this morning, and now, same reading.  Pump B is the only one running.
The pumps usually run in OGC mode.  I changed it to the other auto mode and the display would show the pump running for about 2 seconds.  then the display would switch back to "off".   I can't keep it running or come on for that matter.  Pump B runs as it should.

Has anyone else had this same problem?

i removed the pump for cleaning, and also updated the firmware for the controller.  Hopefully this will solve my issue.

after explaining my issue to coralvue, Carlos narrowed it down to that the pump motor block was shot.
They are sending me a replacement.  Hopefully that is the solution.

Apparently the controller is smart enough to know when there is a problem with the pump, and that it's not working.  After a couple attempts, it will turn itself off.  As mine did.

I will reply back once solved.

Coralvue answered and replied to my ticket in less than a couple hours.
