I have had lots of those guys for years in my tank. Also have a solid purple type. They only issue for me is i find them in my skimmer body sometimes and i worry if they would might mess up my pump. So far they have been a welcome CUC addition to my tank. I would guess i have had them 10 plus years.

thanks doc, dipped a coral the other day and one came off, didnt think much of it till i grabbed a plug that has been in my tank forever and it was covered with them. just wanted to validate!

95% of the ones i find are under rocks or plugs. I never see them out in bright light so i am guessing that they are nocturnal grazers.

I have lots as well. They keep the racks and frags really clean of algae. Like Docsky I don’t see them in the day time but do at night with a flashlight on glass and racks
