Anyone know what this is and the best way to remove it?

Flucon removes long haired algae like that.  Maybe double it up with some Vibrant as well?
Flucon has removed my hair algae, but it takes a little longer than a 10 day period.  I run flucon back to back for 14 days each to kill that algae, along with bryopsis

When you try to manually remove it, is it slimy or wirey?

If you look closely does it look like little ferns or straight hair.

Also, what are your nitrates and phosphates testing at?

Not slimy, doesn’t act like hair algae. Comes off in chunks, wirey.

Nitrates and Phosphates are 0.

sounds more like briopsis.

Do the strands look like little ferns?

What test kits are you using for N and P? Cant really be ) or you would not have this stuff growing.

While we can get the algae to go away, we need to make sure we get the nutrient issue under control, or it or something else will just come back.

So, how big is your tank, whats tour livestock, how often and how much do you feed, and what are you doing / running for nutrient export?
