what is the best type of sand to use for a deep sand bed refugium, i am changing sumps and i am going to put all new sand in the sump, the tank is very established, 6 plus years old. thanks for the help

u will want some larger sand on top and finer and finer as u go down

Lots of differing opinions on this. Some say large grain, to keep some space between grains, some say small for surface area. I have always used the regular caribsea stuff with good results.
