Ato
« on: May 08, 2014, 23:36:37 »
I am in need of an ato. I need it to go to 2 separate tanks. Can I just run a line from my rodi unit to a float valve in the sumps? Just split it? One tank is around 15 feet from rodi unit. The other is about 25'. Any ideas? I am going to be running a booster pump on the rodi also. Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I use. It goes directly to my RO/DI unit. eliminates water holding tank. Unfortunately they are no longer made. You may be able to DIY it.

That looks like a very safe unit. Why would they stop making it? The other ato systems I've looked at don't have as many fail safes.

I use just a float valve, but then you need to gravity feed from a storage container, you can go from your RODI right to your float valve, but it will cause your RODI to cycle on an off like crazy.

You need something with a high low switch....or something to limit how often the RODI system can run.  Some folks will run the RODI system once or twice a day.......and then let it shut off when the float switch stops the flow.

The loc line system just has an extra solenoid valve and a float switch.    That is easy to DIY, just mount a float switch, get a solenoid valve.
(Here is an example   http://www.buckeyehydro.com/solenoid-valve-1-4-inch-24-vac/   and then a power supply.   Just make sure to make waterproof electrical connections.

I got two flowvalves from ebay and instaled them in side the sump. Put a tee on the line snd then a line two each flot valve. Works grate :be happy:
