Brian, how much were those bits, and where is the local Harbor Freight?  I have a router that's been in its box for many years now, and with my upcoming canopy build, I'd like to see what I can do with it.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Ghurlag I think they were 60$ but you are welcome to borrow them if your router has a 1/2" collet. The harbor freight that I go to is behind the Dayton mall. Right on the corner of 741 and Lyons Crossing.

Have you decided on what stain you are going with?

I went with black paint and Red Elm stain. The doors are stained same as trim so won't see all that much black.

I knew there was one around there somewhere.  It's one of those things that I know in the deep recesses of my mind, but have never really called upon. :P (yes, I'm nuts)

That canopy is looking good.  I can't wait to see the whole complete package.  Do you have a materials list?  Since you're not being lazy, and we are both named Brian, I thought I might fill the 'lazy' void for a post or two :)

Kenn, I was going to say something snide about you working at Furrow and it now being out of business... ( I know "ha...  ha...  ha..."), but then I decided not to

No rush on my part...  I have plenty on my plate for the next few weeks, but it would probably be easier on you to do it sooner than later, since the mind likes to dump things on occasion.  I'll have to adapt it to my tank anyway.  Just thinking your build would be a good starting point.

What lighting are you housing in the canopy, and will you be installing fans? (apologies if you have already addressed this elsewhere in the thread)

I haven't mentioned what is going in the canopy so it is all good. As of right now (subject to change) 2 LumenMax Elite Reflector's  with 400w Radiums on Lumatek dimmable E-ballasts and 2 80w ATI t5's on an Advanced Ballast. The Reflector's are mounted on a pocket door track to slide them out of the way. Not sure what kind of fan but something decent size, low rpm for reduced noise.

2 80w ATI t5's

You just need to win the 4x54w kit from reefgeek at the fragswap raffle today :)
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

I tried to win but no luck. Oh well, Buk won them and he drove from Toledo so he deserved them :)

I have been working on this a couple hours each night, it's going slow. The finish work is so tedious.

It is staying two toned however the doors are going to cover most of the black except a small border around each.
