Is this the previous buy, or is this a new buy?

I already had orders into Keith for the old buy.

I will test again later I have another batch mixing. But as of this batch it was not close to what they advertise. I used salifert test kits and got
Cal- 300
Mag- 1020
Alk 8.6
Po4- 0

Alk was close but they advertise 1425 on the mag and 440 on the calcium. I will test the other batch later and also see if my neighbor can mix a batch and see what his numbers say.

Interesting. Looks really low on Calcium and Magnesium. Could be the batch or that portion of the box.

I think there is only one buy. The original message, I believe, was to see if there was enough interest. I tried to capture the orders from that message. How many boxes did you want?

Try to mix some up to 1.026 and see what your parameters say then.  Many people run their tanks at 1.026

Increasing the salinity should have a proportional effect. Increased number of samples would help improve the statistical accuracy.

So still pretty disappointing. Mag went up a little but cal stayed same and alk dropped. Hopefully I can talk to Rick and have him test some of his to see what he gets. I don't need more water made up right now.

I spoke with Jenifer at aquarium artisans who has tested with no issues so hopefully Rick can try his to see.

She uses Red Sea pro reef test kit. I am going to mix one more batch and take it to Jen and I will test with my kit and she with hers to see what happens. Probably won't make it til next Tuesday though.

Salt will be at the frag swap Saturday for pick up. Please let us know if you will not be able to attend so we do not bring extra. We purchased 20 and so far 14 are spoken for. If you would like to purchase the salt it is $40 box, first come, first serve. We will not have extra for sale at the swap.
