NO3:PO4-X - Overdose
« on: May 27, 2015, 16:36:12 »
Is anyone dosing NO3:PO4-X ? Has anyone had any issues ? My doser emptied a bottle in to my tank. So this morning I had a cloudy tank. Scared me to death!! So I did a 25% water change "got that off the internet" and it is still cloudy as all get out. Fish and corals look fine. But I am afraid it killed all my "good" bacteria ? All Tank parameters are ok. Only one that is really different is PH - I am normally around 8.00 +/- for day/night. It is now 7.78 and I have not see it go that low. I was thinking of adding some bacteria to the tank ? Anyone have any thoughts ?

Not alot of experience with PO4-X, but I did carbon dose.   It could trigger a bacteria bloom, and that could reduce the oxygen in the water.   Water change is good, and set your skimmer to a fairly wet skim mate.    Adding a air stone would not be a bad idea either, until things clear up.
