We just brought in over 100 Ricordia that we are bringing to the swap, they are supposed to be ones (about 3 inches across).  They will be priced to sell!

We also brought in some blue zoas, aqua zoas, and funky electric green zoas that we will probably bring.

Thanks to all the Ohio Reef volunteers who made this frag swap a success. I had a great time and enjoyed seeing hobbyists from other clubs as well.

Well I went through some of my photos tonight. I need a better flash and I also need to get my camera cleaned. But over all they came out pretty good. So hear you go.

Thanks to everyone that helped. I think it was a big success.

Even though I was 'staff' I still spent more than I should have and am just now starting to drip the corals.

Ahhh...I'm so glad I didn't buy anything other than some rock...which is now stinking up my sun-room.  I came home...and crashed on the couch (apparently I was tired.)

Thanks to everyone that helped.  I was really proud of the club for putting on a great first frag swap!

thanks for getting together all the great raffle items also.  I was lucky enough to take home an auto top off system from autotopoff.com.  Hopefully that will end my problem of forgetting to shut off my ro water when I have been topping off my sump.  I have been lucky and never overflowed the sump but I am sure the corals didnt like to change in salinity.

Congratulations to everyone on Ohio Reef and especially those who organized the event, wrangled sponsors/vendors, and sacrificed their time to make it happen. I was not there too long (because I found some really awesome stuff and blew my money immediately) but I could tell that it was nothing short of a professionally organized event!

Thanks to Bulk Reef Supply and Chief Reef for my raffle prizes.  I won a fragging kit of frag plugs, glue, and some nice bone cutters from Chief Reef.  I also won some carbon from BRS.

Thanks to all of the other sponsors/vendors!

Ya got to look good for the pics     Actually, I was taking the reading glasses off of my head.

Thanks to everyone that organized, setup, and attended our first frag swap.  I couldn't have asked for a better one for our clubs' first big event.  Everything ran super smooth do to the teamwork exhibited by the frag swap committee.   Thanks to Marine Solutions and Coral Ranch for jumping onboard early on in the planning stages and to YZReef, Lucid Coral, Cherry Corals, Paul's Corals, Midwest Saltwater, Dirks, and Chief Reef for making the drive over from all over the midwest to attend.  And thanks to all of the companies that donated raffle prizes to the club.

And a special Thanks! to Joe Ayers for stepping up and volunteering to chair the frag swap before we even decided to have one.  Now he just has to start planning the next one  ;D

This was the best frag swap I have ever been to!!!  (I won't mention my only one ;)  )  Seriously, it was a great time!  Thanks to those that helped set it up and do all the work, I just showed up and sold tickets.  (Yes Andy I did sell a few on my OWN  :)  )  Thanks to the vendors!  I actually WON (first time ever) filters and DI resin from Bulk Reef and some Rods Reef!  It was also great to get some new members!  :D

Might want to check around and see if anyone else wants to chair next year. With having a new baby, and other excuses  :) I may not have time to chair. I will be more than happy to help, but someone else may need to cheer.

Thanks Joe for letting us know.  This is up for further discussion, but I'm thinking we'll approach the idea of committee chair/etc around voting time for board positions just to keep things simple.

I think this would be a good idea if we plan on doing a swap every year.

I know that I didnt play a part in planning the swap but I think that everyone who won something in the raffle should email the donators with a big thank you.  I sent one out to autotopoff for the prize that I won.  I will probably post on setting it up to  give  alittle exposure on their product.  Just a suggestions to all who won something.

Sending a Thank you email is a great idea. It will also probably help when we request them to donate an item again next year. The raffle really made the swap, I was amazed at all the stuff that was donated. Some really high dollar stuff.

My 2 cents:
This is the first 'frag swap' I have been to, but I've been to A LOT of reptile swaps of many different sizes from small to very large.

This was very well put together and was professional and everyone involved with making it that way should be applauded, And I applaud you All.

I wish I could have met those of you that I have not met in person. Especially those that post more often. I enjoy and appreciate your info and knowledge.

That was the first frag swap I've been able to get out to so far and even though I didn't really get to stay and chat with anyone because of work, I did enjoy it quite a bit.  I think everyone did a really nice job putting it all together.  Thanks to everyone involved for putting it on.  :)

Hi Micki, I could see the back of your head in one of the pics but that was all. And isnt it you that talks about a bunch of grandkids?
I seen the posted pics but I was not in any of them. And thats good for cameras sake.

Did you win anything? and did you get to get around and see everything or was you stuck at the door?
