how far have you ever had a snail come out of the water???  I swear this one snail is peeking over the side starring at me on the computer.  Is this a sign of water conditions or curiosity?

im not sure why they do it but i have had mine clime on the top of the overflow's before.

Let's just say that I've found several over the past year a good couple of feet away from the tank.  I found one stuck on a school notebook one time...that was really lovely.  Most of the time they're nerite snails, which I've heard like to spend some time on the edge of water.  Keep an eye on 'em.  They're all suicidal between letting crabs kill them, not turning themselves over, or just climbing into fresh air.

i havent found any snails out of the tank yet, but i have found quiet a few hermits dried up behind the tank.

 I find snails on the floor in the middle of the shop every once in a while...and hermit crabs.....and fiddler crabs...and sally light foot crabs.....

Ya, I've found crabs on the floor in the room and in the room outside the room.
