Snail Killing slug what is this thing

I found this snail upside down and noticed this slug thing anyone know what it is or how bad it is?



I have it in a small container and it came from a tank I added some liverock to a month ago must have been on the rock.

I could be wrong, but I think that is the snail.  I have those snails and the snout of the slug looking thing is just like the snout of my snails.  Maybe its dying?

if it was upside down, could it be the snail itsself trying to get right side up?  I know hermit crabs with eat a snail thats upside down too long.

I kind of wondered that myself won't retract in or attach I'm going to keep it isolated and see what happens hopefully it is the snail.
