« on: November 13, 2009, 17:38:19 »
I have 1 Q-tip thing growing in my tank and also these worm lookng things growing on the rocks.  What are they? Are they good, bad , part of the deal?  what do I do to get rid of them if the need is there or do I let them go and the fish eat them?  I have 2 clowns, 6 line wrase, coral beauty angel. Thanks!

sponge = good thing

Tube worm = kinda like a feather duster, its good.

no problems there just a maturing tank.

You should see my recently grown (not intended) crop of q-tip sponges.

They popped up after I added the new Aqua Structure to the tank. I think (from reading) they appeared and flourished due to a raised level of Silica in the tank. Possible that the new structure supplied the needed silica or a few spores hiked in on it.
