Stupid bristle worms, ouch...

Finally, after years of planning, the bristle worms got me. And ouch. Not as bad as you might think.

Broke them off with tweezers, and used tape to get them out.

Yeah, man...  since I let my tank go, I have seen some nice sized guys crawling around.  I don't have a thick pair of gloves yet, but they are on my list.  I also have what I believe to be a cone snail (some can be lethal if they "bite").

I never worried about it too much. I have a pair of gloves, but never used them, figured I would feel them and pull away. Thats the weird part, it never hurt. I picked up a frag, and it felt like I was holding sponge until I looked at it. Only hurt when I tried to pull them out. I had two finger tips, and my thumb covered.
