Maxspect Gyre 300 series
« on: April 04, 2019, 17:19:17 »
My 1st generation 150 pump power cable started to fall apart, so I decided to replace it before it shocked everything.  Generation 2 pumps are impossible to find.  So I bought a generation 3 pump only kit.

Then I found out that the new generation 3 pumps are not compatible with the generation 2/1 controllers.   The new series pumps are supposed to be sine wave pumps = quiet drive......  So now I have a pair of Generation 3 pumps, and a new controller.   will be installing them soon.....more to come on this subject

They are awesome. I got a pair from Reefsupplies.ca when you couldn't get them in the US (and they are still cheaper than BRS or anyone else even with shipping, just be aware that their pricing is in Canadian dollars so don't freak out).

I just got 4 more. love em.

And unfortunately, I just sold all my extra 250s and gen 2 controllers for way too cheap. Didn't realize they would be impossible to find now. so it goes

Looks like the pricing is more in line now, For just the 350 pump....$229 CAD = $172 USD

Premium Aquatics was $169 free shipping.

I'll have a 250 with the advanced controller available

You’ll like the 300 series. Lots of power.
