Thanks for the add i just set up my. First saltwater tank i have a 40T i think i went to small to start out with i could use some guidance

I was thinking clowns, yellow tangs, colorful cant do to much because its only 40g coral wise i have know clue im open to any ideas

What do yall think is 40gal to small to start with i have had fresh water 125g  Predator for a long time sold everything when i moved back to ohio

Welcome!  A 40g is a bit too small for a yellow tang but is a good size aquarium for a start in saltwater.  My first reef tank was a 40L with a cheap 4 bulb T5 fixture.

What fish and coral should a simi beginner start out with  bc i didnt think yellow tangs didnt get that big

In general fish vs tank size can be a bit controversial, but as stated in the post above mine liveaquaria.com has sensible minimum sizes for each species of fish listed on the site.
