Title: What is on my snail?

I’ve noticed one of my snails (Cerith?) has become kind of fuzzy. Could this be how they reproduce?

I’ll try when the lights turn on again tomorrow. It’s definitely not an algae. The hairs are all whiteish color and about the same length with a very small feather duster style tip.

 I would probably get rid of it. It may spread into your tank

I think you’re right. When in doubt, take it out!
