I have a few of these same hydroids. After reading this thread, I decided to take care of them before they get out of hand. I used epoxy to cover the majority of the patch and a laser to zap the ones the epoxy missed. After a couple days, the ones I have lasered are still gone. Thought I would share if this would be helpful to anyone.

I’d like to know what fuels it. I’ve had a couple little patches of it but nothing I got concerned about and it hasn’t really spread. But Paul sounds like his is the opposite.

Hey Paul, what did you end up doing about the hydroids? I currently have the clubs laser and it seems to have obliterated a small patch in my tank. Have you tried it?
