Live aquaria experience

Does anyone have knowledge of live aquaria's quarantine practice? Do you have experience ordering fish from them? If so, please tell me your thoughts/experiences with the fish.

Liveaquaria drop ships from quality marine(wholesaler) so no qt.  Divers den from what I understand "conditions"

http://m.liveaquaria.com/general/general.cfm?general_pagesid=377
They mention what they consider qt in the link under the fish system section

I have ordered from liveaquaria multiple times with some success.  Their prices are pretty good especially on sale.  Best part is they guarantee for 14 days and I've never had any issues getting a credit/refund if necessary.  I prefer to buy locally when possible to avoid shipment stress, but local selection is limited.  Hope this helps.

I agree kellj, I would like to go local but the price for everything I want (assorted clean up crew, red macro algae, etc) just can't be topped. Plus, Gerbers is keeping their salinity so incredibly low that the last couple fish I bought from them didn't make it. Even with a 45 minute acclimation.

Just got some fish from liveaquaria. They came in about 1.019.   I have a QT so I just match it, but up to 1.026 is a pretty big jump.  I got some fish from divers den a few months back that come in at 1.025.  Liveaquaria inverts came in at normal salinity ~1.025.

I have had good luck with liveaquaria, and on the couple of occasions I had trouble the credited as Kelly mentioned.

They've got 25% off $199 for the next couple of days, plus $99 free shipping.  Lots of money but a good deal...

Unfortunately my QT is taking longer than expected to cycle. Am=.25 NO2=1.0. Been up for 10 days. Still got a ways to go...

Couple tricks you've probably heard before, but someone might not have...

Dr. Tims one and only actually works (instant cycle).  I have used it with no ammonia. I've also used stability which seems to work but the one and only seems a little better, and I've gotten bacterial bloom with stability before.  Not a big deal but you have to watch your O2.

I wouldn't throw 5 big tangs in, but for a hospital or QT, they work pretty good in a pinch.

I also keep a sponge in my display sump which I can drop into a QT tank.

Thanks Humphrey. I've only used BioSpira previously but I decided to try F&S's bacteria this time. Ya, I wouldn't recommend it. I came home today though and NO2 was 0 and I had 20 nitrates. Added some caulerpa and gonna ghost feed until I place my LA order
