Title: fluffy algae need an id please!!!!!

Returned from vacation and found this light brown fluffy algae on the top of the rocks.  not seeing bubbles in it.  it has already cost me a corals.  any thoughts???

how old is your tank, might be the start of Green hair

Kind of hard to see, almost looks like a sponge of some sort. I’ve had some before, think it was called chicken liver sponge.

it is almost translucent and brushes off easily.  the tank has been up to 2 years.
