BRS screen cover kit
« on: June 20, 2019, 21:21:39 »
Got tired of fish going into the overflows and out the back of the canopy.

My 10 second review of the BRS kit:

Not bad if you have a chop saw to cut to size. A cutting grinder is also handy to make cutouts for your cords. 1/8 inch screen material seems durable enough. Took me about an hour to make both screen covers. 8/10

Brian,
Looks like you did a nice job. I have had a similar thing with the fish. Easy for them to jump out but getting back in is a problem. The cost of the fish could easily cover the screen cost. I am getting ready to order some for the 180 and 30 gal. I intend to go with 1/4" unless there is a better reason to use 1/8"?
Thanks for sharing,
Gary

PAR difference is minimal. I went with the 1/8 to make sure even the little guys won’t be able to get out.

Aww bummer. I lost my newly acquired diamond goby via rear canopy suicide.

Nice job! I love my screen tops. Easy to make and works fantastically. It’s a must with fire fish or diamond gobies. I hear my top bounce all the time because of my dullard diamond goby lol.

Great job.  I went with the same solution and have loved the piece of mind it gives.
