Title: Calcium 2 Part Question
Post by: SweetReefOH on May 14, 2019, 14:52:56
Since rebooting the 75, I have not had to dose Calcium until now. I’ve had my BRS 2 part Calcium still attached to my DOS for the last 5 months. I’m needing to start dosing again but I don’t know if the Calcium solution that’s been sitting in the container and tubing would be ok to dose. What are your thoughts? Is it OK to use?

If you don’t see deposits I’d think you’ll be fine dosing the old solution.

It is safe to use. The calcium chloride will stay in solution unless there has been a significant amount of evaporation. If there is some precipitation then add some RO water.

Thanks guys. I think there was minimal, if any, evaporation and the mix looks clear. So I’ll go ahead and use it. Thanks again!
