I got my triton results back. Chromium was high. Here is the naritive from the test.

Your Chromium levels are dangerously high.

Check for possible contamination source. To assist you in finding the source of error, we have listed the most common chromium sources (sorted in descending order of frequency):

1. Trace element overdose / contamination
2. Metals near or in the aquarium (as rusty clamps or screws)
3. Contaminated salts

Hopefully you have found the answer Brian. Just cleaned my MP40's, will be checking them regularly.

Brian, that is a stunning revelation that I am sure you didn’t expect! Glad you found your issue though.

Am I the only one that is dumbfounded that this could happen to a piece of equipment that is as expensive as the MP40’s are?!? I don’t care how old they are. This should never be a possibility!

There are many a stories about this on the forums.

I had the same thing happen to the magnet on my IM grazer.  Fortunately I was only dealing with a 30 gallon tank.

Thank you
I sent test water to both ATI and triton.  Can’t believe how fast the ATI results came back. Just three days. I’m guessing it’ll be three weeks by the time I get the triton results back. Will be interesting to see if there’s any differences. ATI results came back great no chromium.

Here’s triton results. This test was sent the same day as ati. I actually had both triton and ati vials in hand at same time when filling with water.

Video update.

I just had my floor ground for it to be level, I did not see any Ill effects on the tank. it is basically just rock flying in the air, cover the tanks with plastic and limit surface water movement.

Thanks to Jeff everything will be ready by Saturday to have the floor installed.
He came over this evening and we tore a tank down and moved it to the utility room so it can be temporally tied into sump. It will live there for a few days holding all the LPS, Softies and Anemones. Another tanks worth of corals went home with Jeff. That leaves me with sps and clam tank. I pulled the skimmer out of the sump to make room for those. It sure was a lot easier than I expected. Having friends to lean on is a great feeling. Thank you jjoos99!

Seriously everyone
Brian stock is still fantastic looking, a few problem pieces here and there but overall they will make great additions to your tanks when he gets back open.  His whole ordeal has been quite devastating to his sps stock.  What use to be 2 tanks full of sps has been reduced to maybe 1/2 tank.  The pieces he does have are amazing looking as always.  If we all can learn something from all of his pitfalls is that even the best of the best reefkeepers can experience troubles and system failures.  Thing is you just have to spend the time (sometimes money) and keep working at it.

Thanks Jeff for kind words and words of wisdom. It has been challenging, and humbling. Even though I haven’t found the issue I have learned some things in the process.

Here is where things stand today. Two tanks are dry and one is setup in the utility room. All the furniture and belongings either wrapped in plastic or moved. Even curtains had to come down

Brian, I know you’ll keep pushing forward. Stay the course. One of the things I admire the most about you is that when you hit an obstacle, you go all out to correct it. It’s a lot of work, but it’s going to be fantastic AND more useful in the long run!

Flooring is going down. A bit nervous with the chemical smell and tanks on other side of wall.

Thank you. Yes it has a clear coat over it. Here is the finished product. Almost dry. Couple more hours and I can walk on it. Tomorrow I can start putting tanks back
