October Photo Contest - Submission
« on: October 15, 2010, 02:08:49 »
With summer actives winding down, weather turning colder thought it might good timing to bring the monthly photo contest back. So after not so much thought the theme for October is, drum role................... Best business end picture. I know, not very creative, but figured it was a bit different. So let’s see what you got down under. "under you’re "reef tank"
For those that have not participated before, this contest is opened to everyone, sponsors included. All you have to do is take some photos, :-smPic  pick your favorite one and post it up in this thread. Then on October 22'nd October 29  :-Update I will create a voting poll. The picture with the most votes at the expiration of the poll is declared the winner and gets their picture posted on the home page and bragging rights for a month.  :smiley-happy112:

Make it what you want, a picture of a single piece of equipment, entire sump or even your whole fish room if you would like. Impress us with your spaghetti wiring, leaky plumbing and algae infested refugium.

Here's my equipment bay; AKA a "sump".  Plumbing, sump, 'fuge, lighting, skimmer, return, phosban reactor, and calcium reactor.  It's very happy.

And whole system:

Hey Lazy...

Here's a picture of the custom sump I made with the help of a "friend"  :-ThumbUpsm for my 125 gallon reef tank... sump was made from a 40 gallon long tank and does not look nearly as clean any more - but it does have more live rock and macro algae along with tons of little critters - like the teady bear and green emerald crabs that decided that want to eat my SPS corals.... it's now my version of sing-sing - LOL!  If anyone is interested, I can list all the components too...

Happy reefing...

Ken

Nice pics, guys.  Lots of work goes into these systems as we can all see!  (Probably where most of our money goes).

Tidepool, hit the "host it" icon after selecting your image.  Ater an indeterminable wait, a URL will pop up in the window.  Copy that URL, hit the "post image" icon on the forum posing toolbar, and paste the URL into it between the [URL/][URL] brackets.

You can just paste the whole link. It should be tagged properly already. It took me a few posts to figure out the imageshack thing.

I have to say, after seeing pauls setup several times.... its just TOO "organized" for me :) I prefer all my outlets to plug into random locations without drip loops and plumbing with valves that do god knows what

:) Nice setup Paul!

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz
