Tank hood
« on: December 29, 2017, 15:05:22 »
In the process of building a hood for the 250 during the time off. Since adding kessils to the tank the shimmer reflected in the room is ridiculous so hopefully this helps.

Thanks! Considering I don’t have any large flat surface to work on it’s going fairly well. Lol.

No workbench, yea makes it tough. What is the smaller tank in the background? Nano tank?

It’s a 27 gallon. That’s my low tech tank. No skimmer, just a HOB filter.

Good job. I remember you saying you were going to try to make one. How is it going to sit on the tank? Did you build stops on the inside?

The entire frame sits on top and the trim will hide the tank frame.

Wow that’s cool. Did it help with keeping the light to stay in your tank?
