HELP!! Need Antibiotic

Our yellow tang that is in the salinity raising process of quarantine seems to have a bacterial infection.  She has red streaks near her dorsal fin, now she has eye pop, and she seems very off balance.  I want to save her if I can.

Red streaks are fairly normal for yellow tang, unless they are really bad, I would not be too concerned  ..but the pop eye is not good.   How fast were you raising salinity?   You can try to drop the salinity back to the hypo saline levels. 

I don't think I have anything for pop eye at home, but will check.

When I got home I saw how bad it really was, I think it may just be time to flush the little guy.

I do have Maracyn Two around to treat these.   You can normally get this locally.

Well I ended up just flushing the little guy, he was stuck to the pump and was barely breathing, guess the stress of raising salinity was too much since he was battling the infection also.

Raising the salinity has to happen very slowly.  I typically do 7 days, sometimes I will just let evaporation bring the salinity up....and top off with salt water.   Takes a lot longer that way, but is way less stress full.

I started raising salinity last Friday, been trying to bring it up .002-.003 sg per day, so today it should be at 1.016 or so.  The Kole Tang in there is doing great.
