1 of a kind? Blue Birdsnest
« on: May 16, 2018, 17:06:12 »
Sharing a blue birdsnest coral. The parent is a standard ORA green birdsnest. It spawned in my system a couple years ago and the offspring are blue instead of green. In the picture are clones/frags from parent and the larger blue one is spawned off-spring from parent. I guess it had the blue pigment in the DNA?

That is pretty. Amazing how corals can change colors like that. Are you keeping it under high or lower par Brian?

I think the reason why it does look like bop in pics is because the blue polyps contrast the green skin. On the green Birdsnest it also has the same green skin but itís not noticeable because of the green polyps. Aside from the blue polyps it is identical to the green birdsnest.
