Title: Growing macroalge

I have been trying to start a refugium in my tank but seems every things dies slowly. I have a spot light with a 6k led grow light over top of it running about 14 hours a day but seems it always slowly dies. Any advice on keeping it I am trying to grow caulprea right now

 What are your nitrate and phosphate levels. If to low that may be the cause. How many watts is the 6k led?

Phosphate is at .075ppm and nitrate is at 3ppm last time I checked. My nitrate has always stayed in great levels but my phosphate has been up to .25 ppm at one point and have been slowly bringing it down. Running gfo at the moment and had run chemiclean and nophos to help bring it down. Really want to start growing coral

Nutrient level is in range to grow Macro algae. Only other thing that comes to mind is lighting.

I have just a 6000k led flood light clamp mount now. Ordered in a 10w led hydroponics grow light from amazon to maybe swap it out and get some growth
