6 line wrasse
« on: August 19, 2013, 23:01:04 »
I picked up a small one from Jack's a little over a week ago and he seems to be doing great. Actually looks like he's grown slightly, lol.

I just wondering if anyone had seen or heard of them eating aptasia? I noticed that a couple were no longer there this morning. I have 2 peppermint shrimp also.

I could be wrong but I'm gonna say it was your peppermints

They started taking care of them but I think they quit, lol. From what I've read, the 6 lines are known to take care of some pests like bristle worms

The problem with peppermints is that their first choice of food isn't aptasia.   I've found that to keep mine eating aptasia, I have to feed the tank slower and less so that the peppermints don't get any.  If you keep them hungry then they'll go after the aptasia.
