I don't think it's Walmart, but Costco does......

I can't tell what that casket is made of.... looks brushed..... probably from China is my guess. I will look at my paperwork from the big 3 casket makers & see if they have one called the Hampton.

Seriously... go to walmart.com and search for casket... they also sell urns... they have value caskets aswell, and I have seen a few little for sale even.

I do remember wallyworld selling them.... Costco was the 1st then walleyworld picked them up a year or so ago. I just looked at what they had & yea, prices are quite good on some caskets. Their stainless steele caskets they sell them for about $300-600 LESS then my cost...... copper $300-700 LESS & the bronze in about $1,000 LESS then our cost..... ugh.....

Walmart actually has been selling them for awhile, I remembered first seeing them when I was in highschool(one of those lazy days searching for random things on the internet). They used to have value caskets; which were simply a pine box, and they ranged in price from $60ish-$300ish... and I have seen a few of their normal caskets go on sale for quite abit off, I had a screenshot of a clearanced one at one point, just thought it was odd/funny to see a clearance casket being sold from walmart...

From what I understand, they don't stock them in their stores, but they do stock them in their numerous warehouses(per one of my friends who worked in the walmart hub). You have to order them via the internet or a special order from the store, they will then query the warehouse that has your model and have it shipped directly to the funeral coordinator/home you are using. They usually ship same day and always within 24 hrs and are received on the 2nd day after ordered.

Their Supplier is Star-Legacy, They state all metal caskets are made in USA, and all wood models in Canada.

I persoanlly don't see why it matters, my family could go on vacation or something for the price of some of these caskets... I say pine box and bury me face down

or just roast me....

Though I had read something about being cremated and put into a capsule and being launched into space... if I beleive in spirit/body attachment after life(not sure if I do yet) that would be the best way to go IMO... way more interesting than parking my sorry butt in a cemetery for all eternity.

Maybe walmart will offer it when it comes to be my time, so we can get an outrageous deal

star-legacy.... never heard of them.

I must admit though, two of the big 3 casket manufacturers (Batesville & Matthews) make their cheaper caskets in Mexico & Aurora still makes everything in Indiana. The 20ga & cheaper stuff is what's made in Mexico at least that's how MAtthews does it now. Most of their other stuff is made in Richmond Indiana.....

Their caskets are also very narrow.... 23in for most metal caskets....
