DIY filter sock holder

 1 piece of plexiglass 18x24, 2 1" tee's, 2 1" 90's, 2 1" hose barb fittings, glue and several hours of my time.

very nice.  how or what did you use to cut out the holes for the socks to drop down into

 Jig saw with a fine tooth blade, and masking tape.

Looks good.  Does the plumbing pull out of the way for easy sock changing?

The 1" PVC that you see at the bottom of the 2 "Tee's" comes out so removing the socks is really easy.
