Wrasse Questions

Sorry to bug everyone with fishy questions again.

I just purchased a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse the other day.  I've heard these can potentially lose their colorings within 6 months to a year unless certain other fish are in the tank to make them compete.  Is it better to get another male or get female(s)?  Would having other flasher or fairy wrasses be an ok substitute?  Any ideas?

Thanks!!
Nikki

The blues/browns & greens tend to fade in fairy wrasses but it seems to me that the fish that have the red-orange coloration or the hot pinks & yellows tend to keep their colors better than the blues & green shades. I not sure that happens with flashers. You will need something in the tank to get them to "flash" even though I have seen them flash for humans.  I would suggest small females or another docile fairy.
