puck rip?
« on: May 14, 2012, 20:42:34 »
It's been a few days since Carly has seen our beloved yellow tang that had his dorsal fin shorn off before we found him... If he has indeed passed on the great ocean in the sky it will be a major loss. He came with our first tank and was the sole survivor of two tank crashes. As is customary with us, he retained his name from his first owner whose son named him Puck. Even though he had no dorsal fin to speak of, I know I will always remember him getting excited or territorial and flashing his spikey stubs.

If he has indeed passed, this will leave a mojor void. Not only was he full of personality,  he was also the only yellow fish we had. So my question is... Should we get two smaller yellow tangs and a foxface or one big yellow tang and a foxface?

sorry to hear that
I'm in a similar quandry. what to get for the last fish. Don't know that a Yellow tang would get along with my sailfin.
Looking at Foxfaces also.  :th_3confused:

Sorry to hear this man

Foxface are great... They do have posionous spines but it's similar to a bee sting on steroids, unless your allergic.

I vote for the foxface if it carries any weight

The foxface is in. We've had one before and wanted another. The issue we're waffling over is should we get two yellow tangs or just one....

Well though introducing them into the system at the same time calms the tempers... I think 2 over time could be riskier than just one, IMO.... Not that the two will ever fight, but things may change that may cause one or both to become terretorial over the other.

One Yellow Tang, One Foxface, One Achiles Tang :P is my vote.

I would go with 1 yellow tang. Just my 2¢. Are we doing a foxface group but this month lol. Hope there's enough for us all.
