It may think of the molly as a tank mate instead of food especially if the Molly was their first. If that is the case it may take a bit for it to decided it is food.

Just not going to be able to keep one. The guy I got it from had it living for 2 weeks in his tank. Not sure if the travel stressed it of if it's m tank? I dripped it for 2 hours.  Just don't know? I will leave them alone.

Is 2hrs enough? I normally do 5-8 for any fish sometimes more depending on the fish

5-8 is a long time for acclimation... 2 is even on the high side, but closer to normal.. I acclimate for 15-45 minutes, usually 45 min TBH

Sorry to hear that Joe.

as for acclimation I think 2 hours is too long other than wrasses. I've followed LiveAquaria's suggestions for acclimation and they've worked pretty well.

I acclimate long enough for the salinity to match and for the water volume to have qudrupled (throwing out 3x the original bag volume). Typically that takes about an hour with a decent drip rate, plus the first fifteen minutes of floating in the tank or sump for temperature acclimation. 1.5 hours max.

Tropical Reef in Toledo hooked Joe up with another Fu Manchu at no cost. I picked it up yesterday since Joe lives further away and put it in my 20 quarantine. He is doing quite well and chomping down feeder shrimp already.

In the bag:

I am still selling the triple 30. He will be going into the 92 corner tank.

Thinking of fuzzy lion. A puffer. A pink faced wrasse and a harliquin tusk. And we will just trade it in for a you get one every few years.

They need a large tank. So they will out grow the 92c in a couple years. So when it gets to big I will sell it back to a lfs & get another baby. Not really the most responsible thing to do. But that's the only way ill ever get to own one.

You need to set up a predictor tank.  8)
